Isaiah was born in the south of Ukraine, in the city of Alexandria in 1899. From 1934 to 1940 he attended the Art Studio of K. Yuon.
Though Isaiah taught physics (optics) at the Moscow Bauman Technical University for 25 years, he dedicated all his life to art and treated it not as a profession but as a passion and a mission of his life. Before and after World War II he was in close friendship with Robert Falk, Alexander Osmerkin and many other famous artists.
Isaiah’s works are owned by the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Aivazovsky Art Gallery in Feodosia, Ukraine, and are in private collections in Russia, USA, Austria, Germany and Finland.
