Igor Kamyanov was born in Moscow, in 1954. He studied in the Art Studio of Yuri Burdzhelian from 1986 to 1989. Kamyanov has been a member of the International Association of Artists and Critics since 1991, a member of the Russian Association of Artists since 1993, and a member of the International Art Foundation since 1995. In 2002 he received an Award of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Kamyanov's paintings are not landscapes, still-lives or portraits. They are a play of light and color, distinguished only by a delicate eye of the artist. Sometimes we can only guess what served the artist as a model. Igor has his own feeling of light that merges into objects and forms, filling the space with the depth of color.
Kamyanov’s works were first displayed at the Young Artists’ Exhibitions in Moscow (1988-1994). Since 1996 he has become one of the leading participants of the exhibition «Strength of Silence» (Art Museum of Hildesheim, Germany), where the local press called him a bright representative of modern “silent art” movement. Kamyanov was part of the group exhibition in the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Art (1996), Art Auction in Sapporo, Japan (1993), and exhibited at the international art fairs in Germany and Spain. He has regular personal exhibitions, two of which were at the esteemed Central House of Artists in Moscow, and one at the Moscow office of the World Bank.
