Valentina was born in 1945 in the city of Vitebsk - Chagall’s hometown, and was influenced by his art school. Currently she teaches at the Arts and Graphics School of Vitebsk University. Valentina is a master of watercolors, though she always experiments with other types of techniques. Her works are described as “poems of artist’s soul in color”. Valentina’s art combines several layers of Russian tradition – from Surikov through Vrubel to avant-garde of the 1920-s.
Valentina has a record of more than 40 international and local exhibitions, most of which are solo exhibitions: Since 1968 she has participated in Moscow, national and state exhibitions, including personal exhibits. Since 1991 she has exhibited in USA, France, Spain, and Germany. In 2000 Valentina received The Best Artist Award of the Republic of Belarus.
